eBay Motors AI/AR RICH Shopping Experience

As part of the new "richer shopping experiences" R&D initiative I led at eBay I developed an AR-triggered, AI-powered mobile shopping experience for eBay motors, starting with Jeeps. By pointing the phone's camera at any Jeep, the tool used computer vision to recognize the model/year of the car and the accessories it had been fitted with. The user could then touch the "hotspots" on the UX to shop for the specific items on eBay's large inventory of Jeep parts and accessories, and visualize those accessories in realtime with the help of generative AI. A multitude of other rich content immersed the user in relevant info about their passion and showed the breadth of spectrum of value that powers eBay's inventory.
